Is it just us, or is sports gaming pretty lackluster as of late?
It seems as though developers are just feeding us the exact same game year after year. Sure they'll add on a feature or two, or maybe even a new game type, but where are the new "main features" that we're all looking for? EA Sports is one of the biggest offenders. They buy all the rights to the different sports leagues and then put out mediocre games. I feel like this is what enables them to make these mediocre games. If there were other companies out there developing games about the same sport, we might see harder work and more new things that we're all looking for. So I guess here's to hoping and wishing that developers start putting more into their games.
